Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Yard Technician in Berea, OH. This full-time role involves loading and unloading equipment for drivers, inspecting and staging equipment, and maintaining a clean yard.

You will assist customers with equipment questions and ensure safety and organization across the yard. The position offers growth opportunities within Herc Rentals and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate various machines, and communicate effectively in English.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors when required by the job.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to safely drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload for internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers.
• Verify delivery tickets and returns for accuracy.
• Clean, maintain, and organize heavy equipment and machinery.
• Review orders and stage equipment for drivers.
• Perform routine checks on rental equipment to ensure safety and good condition.
• Maintain a clean and organized yard and work area.
• Answer and resolve customer questions.
• Provide customers with expert advice on equipment selection, operation and maintenance.
• Support all team members.

What you will do...

• Help to load and unload internal truck drivers, outside haulers and customers
