Curtis Lumber Co Inc. is seeking Yard Material Handlers to support the Stagers and Inventory Management Team, keeping a neat, safe yard and assisting customers as needed. You will load, unload, and store materials while following PPE requirements and safety rules.

This full-time role offers a starting hourly rate of $20–$22, weekly pay, annual raises, and a generous benefits package, including holidays, PTO, and profit sharing after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift 50-80 lbs regularly and operate a propane forklift safely.
• Full-time, 40+ hours per week with a consistent retail schedule.
• Customer service skills to assist shoppers.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying weather.
• Safe and proper use of equipment and PPE.

Yard Material Handlers work in the Yard supporting the Stagers and the Inventory Management Team to maintain a neat, clean yard appearance. At times they are also responsible for servicing customers, loading, unloading, putting away material, and operating certain tools and equipment with the use of proper material handling practices and PPE.

Starting rate $20-22 hourly! Annual Performance based raises!

• Inventory management and merchandising of product
• Safe and proper use of equipment and materials
• Work outside year-round in a variety of seasonal weather conditions
• Customer service skills to service our customers
• Full time 40+ hours per week – Consistent schedule – Ideal retail hours!
• Paid weekly on Fridays
• Discretionary profit share after one year of employment
• Six paid holidays and PTO Immediately
• Must be able to lift 50-80lbs regularly and able to operate a propane forklift safely
• Must wear PPE
• Building material product knowledge a plus
