Responsibilities

• Greet customers in the yard and assign tasks to yard and delivery staff.

• Move, stock, and rearrange building materials in the yard and warehouse.
• Oversee yard inventory and coordinate with Inventory Coordinator as needed.
• Perform routine forklift safety checks and organize yard cleanliness and appearance.
• Follow safety policies and participate in store meetings and training.

Pleasant, TXtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-111987## **Job Description**Time Type:Full timeRole Details:## **Time Type: Full Time**## **Starting Pay: $18 / HR**## **Job Location: 1702 West 16th Street, Mount Pleasant, TX 75455*****Job Summary:***The Yard Supervisor will supervise the Yard Crewmembers and assist customers in the lumberyard, operate a forklift, stock products, and provide general store support.## ## *Supervisory Responsibilities:** Trains and mentors new team members or assists management with this process.* Coordinates and oversees the day-to-day workflow of team members within the yard.* Assists management with addressing employee concerns and conflicts.## *Duties/Responsibilities:** Greets customers as they enter the yard.* Assigns job tasks to yard and delivery employees according to receiving and delivery schedules and customer traffic.* Loads and unloads products into customers, vendors, and company vehicles safely and accurately.* Responds to customer’s questions regarding products.* Resolves customer complaints or requests in a timely manner; escalating to management when required.* Moves, stocks, and rearranges building materials in the yard, warehouse, and interior of the store.* Oversees yard inventory and notifies the Inventory Coordinator or management when inventory needs to be adjusted.* Performs routine safety checks on forklifts according to company guidelines.* Organizes and maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the lumberyard and warehouses, by stacking products squarely, and picking up bands, chocks, and trash.* Verifies customer or vendor ticket matches the merchandise that is being loaded.* Covers exposed materials, when required, to prevent weather damage.* Cuts lumber and other related materials as requested by the customer.* Operates a forklift.* Attends all store meetings and training sessions.* Performs other related duties as assigned.## *Required Skills/Abilities:** Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.* Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.* Knowledge of weight distribution and loading patterns.* The ability to adjust the controls of a machine or vehicle quickly and repeatedly to exact positions.* Must have a current driver’s license and auto liability insurance.* Must successfully complete all company training and certification requirements regarding equipment usage, including obtaining McCoy’s forklift certification.## *Education and Experience:** A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.* Forklift operator certification.* Successful completion of on-the-job training, including completing supervisor training within 6 months of entering the role; completing levels 1 and 2 of the positional training offered.## *Physical Requirements:** Prolonged periods of standing and moving around the yard and warehouse.* Must be able to use the three-point hold when getting into trucks and/or forklifts.* Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds at times, occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds, and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.* The ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods.* May need to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.* Must be able to work in various types of weather.McCoy’s is an equal opportunity employer.
