Job summary

United Warehouse Company seeks a Yard Spotter to join our team. This full-time, Monday–Friday role involves outdoor yard work, moving trailers, and assisting with dock operations. The candidate must be physically capable, with prior experience in yard truck operation and trailer hookups.

Flexibility for overtime and weekends is required as customer demands may extend operating hours. A valid driver’s license and the ability to work in varying weather are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Heavy equipment experience hooking up and moving trailers.
• Meet physical requirements to stoop, bend, twist, reach, squat, and lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete yard truck inspection using the inspection form prior to operating to start of shift.
• Conduct daily yard checks at the start of shift and provide report to warehouse leader.
• Records yard move on the appropriate form daily and turn into management daily.
• Safely operate the yard truck, while facilitating movements of trailers in the yard.
• Efficiently move trailer in and out of the dock doors using proper procedures.
• Communicate effectively with the warehouse to streamline the flow of trailers.
