Job summary

Ryder is hiring a CDL A Yard Truck Driver in University Park, IL, offering weekly pay and excellent benefits. This role involves local yard work with a 50+ hour work week and a PM shift, starting with $27.50 per hour and OT after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• CDL A license required or in progress.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Flatbed experience helpful; training provided for Conestoga equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of yard truck and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Load/unload freight or assist as needed per customer requirements.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report defects.
• Support and maintain accurate records and logs.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $27.50 Per Hour + OT after 40hrs
• Hours Per Week: 50 + hours per week
• Paid Training
• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday
• Start Time: PM Shift

• Deliver SOLOTo: On Yard- IL
• Route: Local Home Daily
• Tractor Type: Yard Tractor
• Able to accommodate Automatic Restrictions
• TrailerType:48'-53' Flatbed & Conestoga
• 6 months Flatbed Experience required- Will train on Conestoga
• Freight:Touch/No Touch

Ryder Drivers operate well-maintained, safe trucks, 36 months or newer with 24/7 Roadside Maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide maintenance locations
