Ace Hardware Corporation in West Jefferson, OH is seeking a dedicated Yard Spotter to inspect yard trucks and trailers, back trailers into docks, connect/disconnect lines, and ensure safe, efficient handling of freight throughout the yard. Requirements include CDL A, Hazmat and Doubles endorsements, 1 year of tractor/trailer experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• CDL A Certification required; Hazmat and Doubles endorsements preferred.
• Minimum 1 year driving tractor/trailer combinations; knowledge of DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a complete safety and mechanical check of the Yard truck and trailers.
• Climb into cab, drive to trailers, connect, back up, raise 5th wheel, and secure loads.
• Back the trailer into the designed spot, disconnect, and install chocks.
• Drive forklift to assist with cross-dock loads and maintain a clean work area.
