Job summary

Carter Lumber is looking for a full-time Yard Associate to join our team in Michigan. You will assist contractors and DIY customers with selecting and loading orders, pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery, and help maintain yard inventory. Training is provided for forklift operation and certification.

We value a friendly, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work outside in all conditions. Familiarity with building materials is helpful, and there are opportunities for growth

Description

You will assist contractors and do‑it‑yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean. Equipment used includes a forklift and if you haven’t operated one previously, we will train you and help you attain certification.
