Job summary

Carter Lumber in Johnsonville, SC is seeking a Yard Associate who enjoys outdoor work and helping customers. You will assist contractors and DIYers with selection and loading, and you will pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.

You will also help maintain inventory through cycle counts and keep the yard organized and clean. We value a friendly, team-oriented mindset, willingness to work in all weather, and forklift experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is required.
• Friendly personality is preferred.
• Familiarity with building materials is helpful.
• Must be a team player and able to work outside in all conditions.
• Forklift experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with selection and loading of orders.
• Pull and stage materials for pickup or delivery.
• Help maintain inventory in the yard via cycle counts.

Description

You will assist contractors and do-it-yourselfers with the selection and loading of their order, pull and stage materials to be picked up and/or delivered, help maintain the inventory in the Yard by conducting cycle counts, and keep the Yard organized and clean.

Requirements

• Customer service experience

• Familiarity with building materials is helpful

• Forklift experience is a must
