Job summary

Burrtec-Waste-Industries is hiring a Yard Attendant for the Kern Varner Brothers Inc. Hauling division in Bakersfield, CA. The role focuses on keeping the shop and yard clean and organized, handling barrels/bins, and supporting general maintenance tasks in an outdoor environment.

Required is at least 1 year in a safety-sensitive setting; ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for long periods; outdoor work in varying weather. Competitive wages and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and yard area.
• Clean barrels and bins; assist with repairs as needed.
• Manage container inventory and organization; perform janitorial tasks.
• Park lot and entryway cleaning; landscape upkeep (weeding, shrubs, trees).
• SWPPP maintenance & litter control (on-site BMPs).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
