Job summary

Rehrig Pacific is seeking a Container Yard Technician in Indianapolis, IN, to maintain, repair, clean and service containers in the yard and at customer locations. This hands-on role suits individuals who enjoy driving, working independently, and contributing to a reliable, safety‑minded team.

You'll follow safety protocols, operate forklifts (training provided), complete service calls via the Vision Mobile App, and coordinate with dispatch and site staff to keep yard operations running

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License (CDL not required).
• Current DOT Physical Card or ability to obtain after employment.
• Clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 25-50 lbs regularly.
• Pass drug screen, background check, MVR, and DOT requirements.
• Warehouse, manufacturing, or delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, clean, and service containers in yard and at customer locations.
• Drive assigned routes and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete truck inspections and required paperwork.
• Use Vision Mobile App to document service calls.
• Collaborate with dispatch and site personnel to support daily operations.

Container Yard Technician

Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm or 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday
Pay: $17-$19 an hour
Full-Time | On-Site

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused team member to maintain, repair, clean, and service containers both in the yard and at customer locations. If you enjoy hands-on work, driving, and working independently while being part of a great team, this could be the role for you.

What Youll Do

Safety First

• Follow our Plan to Zero (PTZ) commitmentstriving for zero accidents.
• Participate in monthly safety and DOT training discussions.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions to the Site Manager.
• Use all required PPE and follow chemical-handling guidelines from the SDS Manual.
• Understand all safety steps for cart cleaning and follow proper protocols during any incident.

Cart & Yard Maintenance

• Inspect, repair, clean, and organize containers.
• Complete service calls and work orders using the Vision Mobile App.
• Drive assigned routes and provide excellent customer service.
• Verify completed work and follow route schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Follow all company safety practices and DOT requirements.
• Collaborate with teammates to support daily operations.
• Safely and efficiently make yard moves using company-owned vehicles.
• Complete truck inspections, yard checks, and required paperwork.
• Communicate equipment needs and repairs to management.
• Collaborate with dispatch, plant management, and site personnel.
• Load/unload trailers and operate forklifts (training provided).
• Maintain clean equipment and follow sanitation protocols.

What You Bring
