Job summary

Darigold in Pasco is seeking a motivated Yard Hostler to move loaded and unloaded semi-trailers, back trailers into docks, and coordinate with warehouse staff on a fast-paced shift. You will perform routine equipment inspections and log trailer locations, ensuring proper refrigeration status and cargo handling.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication. You must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and work outdoors for a 12-hour night shift with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail with multitasking ability.
• Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
• Able to lift and move up to 55 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Able to sit, stand, and walk for a 12-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers on property with yard truck.
• Back trailers into and pull out of loading docks.
• Work closely with other warehouse personnel.
• Inspect yard trucks for damage or issues during shift.
• Inspect trailers for damage or operational issues and report findings.
• Report trailer locations in the yard and refrigeration status.
• Adjust loads in trailers with a manual pallet jack.
• Adhere to all safety and food safety practices.
• Work outdoors for most of the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
