First Search Inc. is seeking a hands-on Yard Manager to lead safe, disciplined yard operations in a heavy industrial pipe manufacturing environment in Little Rock, Arkansas.

This plant-based role focuses on material flow, inventory accuracy, and dispatch readiness to support production continuity and on-time shipments. You will manage daily yard flow, supervise operators and yard staff, optimize equipment utilization, and drive continuous improvements, safety, and KPI performance across multiple

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in heavy industrial yard operations or related environments.
• 3–5+ years supervisory experience managing hourly teams.
• Experience with heavy equipment handling, rigging, and safe lifting.
• Proficient with SAP/WMS/ERP and inventory tracking processes.
• Able to support shift-based operations including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe and efficient yard operations for plate, WIP, finished goods, and shipments.
• Manage daily yard flow: unloading, storage, staging, and dispatch readiness.
• Oversee safe handling of heavy materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and pre-shift safety practices.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, maintenance, logistics, rail, port, and inventory teams.
• Maintain inventory accuracy via SAP/WMS transactions and cycle counts.
• Lead and develop a team of supervisors and yard staff across shifts.
• Allocate manpower, control overtime, and manage daily priorities.
• Support on-time shipments through staging, loading coordination, and documentation.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce handling costs and dwell time.
