Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking an entry-level Yard Laborer 1 to support yard operations on construction sites in Michigan. You will assist with inventory, staging deliveries, tool inspections, and helping field crews maintain a safe, organized yard.

With a High School Diploma, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to operate lift trucks (training provided), you will work outdoors and may travel for project assignments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Must be able to operate lift trucks; training provided.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work outside.
• Knowledge of construction tools preferred.
• Travel for project assignments may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supports the overall yard operation (building project orders, inventory management, loading and unloading delivery trucks, tool inspections, yard maintenance, and equipment management).
• Operates fork truck to load and unload semi-trailers.
• Makes sure orders are staged/stored in the correct area and check out process is completed.
• Inventories all returning items from jobsites.
• Provides assistance to other yard operations when requested.
