Job summary

SiteOne Landscape Supply is hiring Yard Associates/Drivers to load, deliver, and support branch operations. You will load/unload, ensure safe deliveries, and work with teammates to keep the branch running smoothly. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs, read/write daily records, and adapt to new technologies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required or preferred
• Driving experience encouraged
• Ability to read and write to record daily records
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
• Knowledge of landscape, nursery, and irrigation products is a plus
• Forklift/pallet jack experience is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Load and unload products for deliveries
• Make deliveries and ensure products arrive undamaged
• Operate vehicle in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Perform duties safely including lifting heavy objects and working in all weather
• Replenish or move products at the branch as directed
• Assist customers with product selection and provide support as needed
• Collaborate with leadership to adopt new technologies and ways of working
• Other duties as assigned

Position Overview

As a part of our dedicated team, Yard Associates/Drivers are responsible for operating SiteOne vehicles to deliver world class service and products to our customers. Yard Associates/Drivers are responsible for loading and unloading trucks, in addition to working with teammates to ensure the branch is operating successfully. This position will include the use of in-vehicle dash cameras to ensure the safety of SiteOne drivers, workforce, and the general public. In-vehicle dash cameras are designed to enhance job performance, driver and public safety, and provide assistance in critical situations.

What you’ll do:

• Load and unload products for deliveries
• Make deliveries and ensure product arrives undamaged
• Operate vehicle in accordance with local, state, and federal transportation regulations
• Perform job duties within our safety guidelines. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Lifting and managing heavy objects
  • Working in all weather conditions (drivers must be prepared to work in hot and cold temperatures).
• Replenish or move product at the branch as directed.
• Assist customers with product selection and provide additional support when needed.
• Partner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills We Are Seeking

• Valid state driver’s license
• Driving experience, preferred
• Ability to read and write to record and maintain daily records
• Ability to perform regular bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Ready and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of working
• Knowledge of landscape, nursery, and irrigation products is a plus!
• Electric pallet jack and/or forklift experience is a plus!
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
