Job summary

Universal Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Yard Helper in Casa Grande, AZ to support Operations and Maintenance by performing general maintenance duties in the yard and office.

Responsibilities include keeping areas clean, washing and detailing trucks, vehicles, bins and carts, brushing and painting bins, and participating in trainings to improve service quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

Description

The primary responsibility of the Yard Helper is to support the Operations and Maintenance Departments by performing general maintenance duties.

1. Ensure that the yard and office are clean of debris and hazards.

2. Wash and detail trucks and vehicles.

3. Wash and detail collection bins and carts.

4. Wire brush and paint bins.

5. Participate in external, Department and Company-wide trainings to increase skill sets and improve service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of:

• General practices and principles of custodial work.
• General practices and principles of truck washing and maintenance.
• Federal, state and local job site health and safety rules, regulations and best practices.

Ability to:

• Maintain a positive attitude with coworkers.
• Proactively establish trust and credibility with coworkers by maintaining accountability.
• Contribute to the team dynamic by promoting inclusion, support and collaboration amongst coworkers.

Education, Training & Experience

2. Experience in the resource recovery industry a plus.
