Custom Goods Logistics is seeking a dedicated Yard Goat Driver to support our warehouse and distribution operations in Carson, CA. The role focuses on moving trailers safely, aligning for loading, and ensuring smooth yard flow.

Responsibilities include inspections, record-keeping, and coordinating with dispatch, forklift operators, and staff. Candidates should have a valid license and relevant yard truck certification if applicable. This is a full-time on-site position.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience as a yard goat driver or similar role preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse and transportation operations.
• Valid driver’s license and yard truck operation certification (if applicable).

Responsabilidades

• Safely move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and yard locations.
• Ensure trailers are aligned for loading and unloading.
• Follow safety protocols and DOT regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the yard goat and report issues.
• Maintain records of trailer movements using yard management systems or logs.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff, forklift operators, and dispatch for availability.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and basic troubleshooting of the yard goat.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Communicate with warehouse personnel, drivers, and supervisors for seamless operations.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
