Job summary

Lincoln Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Yard Forklift Operator for our Houston location. The operator will safely operate a Class 7 Forklift, perform maintenance tasks, and ensure proper loading/unloading of materials. Candidates should possess a valid Forklift certification and strong communication skills.

Job Title: Yard Forklift Operator/Helper

Location: Lincoln, Houston, Beamont Hwy, 77049

Job Type: Day shift; Full Time (hourly)

Overview

Lincoln Manufacturing is currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Yard Forklift Operator at our Houston, TX location on Beaumont Hwy. The Yard Forklift Operator is accountable for the function, responsibilities, duties, and performance defined in this job description. The Yard Forklift Operators must operate safely and efficiently to produce a quality product that contributes to Lincoln Manufacturing’s targeted profit level.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate the LMI Class 7 Forklift safely.
• Perform basic maintenance on the Forklift (lubrication, tires, radiator water, fuel, and DEF).
• Report to the Yard Supervisor.
• Keep the Forklift clean and notify the Yard Supervisor when the Forklift is not operating properly.
• Wear safety equipment at all times during working hours.
• Carry tubulars or pipes up to 48 feet long to feed saws as required.
• Load and unload LM or suppliers’ trucks.
• Identify, tally, and stack incoming raw material in the yard.
• Stack finished coupling pallets in the warehouse and pull-out loads for shipment.
• Maintain strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or comparable experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform stationary work for the majority of the shift.
• Valid Forklift certification.
• Punctual and dependable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
