Job summary

84 Lumber Company is seeking a full-time Yard Associate in our New Jersey lumber yard to build loads for deliveries, operate a forklift, and maintain a safe, organized warehouse. You will handle lumber and building materials, communicate issues with management, and participate in daily yard activities to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 80 pounds and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Must be able to periodically lift up to 80 pounds.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Responsibilities

• Builds loads for delivery and unloads freight including lumber and building supplies.
• Forklift training, certification, and operation.
• Communicates delays or discrepancies with management; maintains lumber yard and warehouse.
• Other duties as assigned.
