Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals, Inc. in Colorado is seeking a Yard Foreman to lead yard operations and supervise loading/unloading of trucks, while ensuring safety and equipment readiness. You will manage daily tasks, assist customers, and maintain organized yards in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred for yard duties.
• 3+ years in the construction industry preferred.
• Experience with equipment shipping/receiving.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to oversee yard operations.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assigns day-to-day work to Yard employees and assists with daily duties.
• Ensure yard is in safe, organized condition and that safety policies are followed.
• Directs yard operations and attends weekly safety meetings.
• Assists customers by loading orders and inspecting returned equipment.
• Performs daily forklift inspections and maintains yard cleanliness.
• Identify TBR/DBR fleet and communicate with Yard Manager.

• Work with an incredible team of people Sunbelt Rentals--the fastest growing rental business in North America--is seeking a Yard Foreman.Responsible for maintaining the yard in good order, for supervising the loading and unloading of trucks, and the storage of equipment.Position Responsibilities:Assigns day-to-day work to Yard employees. Assists Yard employees in daily duties.Ensures that the yard is in good safe working order.Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.Directs Yard employees in daily yard operations.Attends all weekly safety meetings and morning huddles.Assists walk-in customers by offering a high level of customer service.Checks work orders to make sure appropriate equipment is staged for loading.Performs daily inspections for yard forklifts.Assists customers by filling orders and loading trucks.Inspects returned equipment for damage during the rental period.Maintains a checklist of equipment status.Aids in identifying TBR/DBR fleet and communicating with Yard Manager.Maintains yard organization and cleanliness.Ensures safe work habits for all staff and provides assistance and coaching as necessary.Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.Requirements:Education & Experience:High School diploma plus 3+ years of experience in the construction industry preferredExperience in equipment shipping and receivingClear understanding of equipment utilization and safety requirementsPersonal and professional integrityDemonstrated use of tools and equipmentPhysical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. All duties must be performed according to Sunbelt’s safety policies and guidelines. Base Pay Range: $23.52 - 32.34
