Job summary

Dobbs Equipment is seeking a Yard Specialist to support daily yard activities and branch efficiency. You will inspect equipment, record fuel data, and handle related paperwork per agreements. The role requires basic knowledge of heavy machinery and the ability to work outdoors to serve customers.

Essential functions include safety adherence, solo work with supervision, and preparing required reports. Overnight travel is minimal and bilingual skills are a plus for team communication.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record.
• Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and operation.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and maintenance using special tools per Technical Manual procedures.
• Forklift certification preferred or training available.
• Overhead crane training preferred or training available.
• Wash rack and steam cleaner systems training preferred or available.
• Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Must be self-motivated and able to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Quick learner with ability to think out of the box and travel <5% when training.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and perform work assignments.
• Work alone with limited supervision.
• Complete machine inspections.
• Prepare reports and forms for job assignments.
• Participate in training programs as directed by management.
• Present a professional image of the dealership.
