Job summary

SAGE Rental Services is seeking a Yard Technician for our Odessa, TX office. You will coordinate the distribution of equipment to meet customer demand and support yard operations, while maintaining safety and cleanliness of the yard.

Responsibilities include inspecting and documenting equipment, performing routine maintenance, inventory counts, and organizing the fleet. On-call readiness and a mechanical aptitude are required to excel in this role.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills for on-site challenges.
• Attention to detail for inventory and maintenance records.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and follow safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Verify and document equipment arriving in and departing the yard.
• Receive and inspect equipment; document condition before and after use.
• Assist with routine inspections, minor repairs, maintenance and cleaning.
• Unload/load equipment and attachments on company/customer vehicles.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and review shipping/receiving docs.
• Maintain and reconcile equipment inventory in the system per SOPs.
• Perform equipment demonstrations as needed.
• Organize the fleet and keep gear in order following safety procedures.
