Job summary

White Cap Management LLC is seeking a warehouse associate to support operations in New Jersey. You will load and unload materials, pick orders, ship and handle items safely, contributing to timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Located in a busy yard, you will operate forklifts, assist customers, and maintain a clean work area while following safety policies. HS diploma preferred and 0–2 years of experience; lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0–2 years of warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, sort, pick, stock, stage, and transport materials in the warehouse and yard.

• Process returned rental equipment: inspect, clean, and stage for future use.
• Verify product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping.
• Install protective devices to prevent damage during transport.
• Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
• Assist customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials.
• May drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials.

Job Summary

Responsible for supporting warehouse operations by performing a variety of tasks including loading, unloading, order picking, shipping, and material handling. Ensures products are accurately prepared for pickup or delivery, secured for transport, and handled in a safe, efficient, and dependable manner.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

• Loads, unloads, sorts, picks, stocks, stages, and transports materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
• Prepares items for shipment or customer pickup by securely packaging materials using shrink wrap, strapping, or other protective methods.
• Performs manual labor task through the shift, including using hand tools to secure and brace freight.
• Processes returned rental equipment by thoroughly inspecting for damage, cleaning, and staging items for future customer use.
• Verifies product accuracy and condition before staging or shipping.
• Installs protective devices such as bracing or padding to prevent damage during transport.
• Operates forklifts or other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Assists customers, installers, or subcontractors by fulfilling orders or locating materials.
• May drive company vehicles to pick up or deliver materials as needed.

Nature and Scope

Selects correct processes from clearly prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seeks advice and guidance on non-routine or problem areas from supervisor. Deviations from the norm are cleared by the supervisor.

Under close supervision, exercises limited latitude/independent judgment. Work typical involves detailed checks or close review of output by a senior coworker and/or supervisor.

Work Environment

Located primarily in an active yard and bay environment with regular exposure to hot and cold weather, outdoor elements, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes.

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds in a physical environment. Ability to stand for periods of time up to and exceeding 60 minutes. Ability to make repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Pay Range

$18.40 - 23.90
