Performance Food Group is hiring a Yard Driver, Non-CDL in Omaha, NE. You will move and park trailers on company property, deliver to loading docks, and ensure secure handling of equipment while following DOT rules.

This position emphasizes safe operations and professional interaction with customers and co-workers. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid non-commercial license, and a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required.
• 6+ months driving experience is required.
• Valid non-commercial driver's license is required.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Overtime availability may be required.
• Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months with a good record.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and moves trailers safely following all DOT regulations and company safe-driving policies.
• Fuels, moves, and parks tractors and trailers to the docks.
• Transports tractor trailers to offsite maintenance and/or inspection facilities; requires local city driving.
• Secures trucks, trailers, and equipment always. Completes all required documentation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company - building lasting relationships with our customers! As a Yard Driver, Non-CDL, you will play a vital role in the operation of our business by transporting tractor trailers on Operating Company property, including loading docks and designated parking areas, and to offsite maintenance or inspection facilities.

The Yard Driver, Non-CDL is responsible for moving tractor trailers to/from the loading docks and parking loaded or empty trailers in designated areas in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

• 6+ months driving experience
• Internal candidates may be promoted with less than 6 months experience with good performance record in accordance with driver training program requirements.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Valid non-commercial driver's license
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Preferred qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
• 1+ years warehouse distribution industry experience
• Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
• Pass road test
