Job summary

Southeast Independent Delivery Service is seeking a Yard Driver II to support yard operations and ensure trailers are prepared for loading and transport. You will move trailers with a yard switcher, inspect equipment, and keep the yard organized and safe.

The role requires a Class A CDL with a clean driving record, a minimum of one year yard driving experience, and the ability to pass a yard pre-trip test. A DOT medical card is preferred and high school completion is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year verifiable yard driving experience.
• Must have a Class A CDL with a clean driving record in good standing.
• No DUI in the past 5 years.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• 2 years yard switcher experience.

Responsibilities

Yard Driver II

Daily Responsibilities:

• Work in the yard truck to organize tractor trailers as needed

• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment
• Keep equipment clean and operating safely

Requirements:

• Minimum one-year verifiable yard driving experience
• Must have a Class A CDL valid driver's license with a clean driving record in good standing.
• No DUI in the past 5 years
• Successfully complete road/pre-trip test in yard switcher
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card
• 2 Years Switcher Experience
• Use of Yard Management Experience
