Job summary

Messer in Kansas is hiring a Yard/Maintenance assistant to support daily operations at our site. You will complete the Otis Daily Yard Morning Report, review SAP-maintained equipment, and perform trailer inspections to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Transportation/Industrial experience.
• CDL preferred.

• Complete inbound/outbound trailer inspections as required for customer specific trailers
• Document retesting/maintenance to 3rd party lease containers

Position Duties:

• Complete Otis Daily Yard Morning Report
• Review equipment in SAP for open maintenance item.
• Complete inbound/outbound trailer inspections as required for customer specific trailers
• Document retesting/maintenance to 3rd party lease containers

Position Requirements:

• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to adapt to new applications
• Communicates well with others, strong interpersonal skills
• Able to follow all safe work practices and company safety guidelines
• Able to lift, bend, and stand to meet physical requirements of position
• Ability to work outdoors during all seasons

Basic Qualifications:

• High School degree or equivalent
• 1 year of Transportation/Industrial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 year of Transportation/Industrial experience is preferred.
• CDL preferred
• M aintenance background is a plus
