Job summary

Maddox is seeking a Yard Coordinator to operate a 30 ton mobile gantry crane and a 24,000 lb forklift in an outdoor yard. You will stock transformers, load outbound shipments, and coordinate with Logistics on shipment records.

Ideal candidates are safety‑minded, detail oriented, and capable of working alone or as part of a team in all weather. The role runs 40–45 hours weekly, with a daytime schedule and occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a 24,000 lb forklift and a 30 ton mobile gantry crane.
• Outdoor work in all seasons with attention to safety.
• Ability to work in a team or independently.
• Follow instructions, use basic hand tools, and read instructions/documents.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stock transformers in the storage yard in an efficient and orderly manner.
• Load all outbound shipments.
• Record shipment information with the Logistics Coordinator.
• Perform yard maintenance (oil spills cleanup, yard dragging, trash pickup).
• Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly inspections of forklifts and the crane.

About Maddox + You:

As a Yard Coordinator, you will be working outside where your attention to detail will be deployed to safely operate a 30 ton mobile gantry crane as well as a 24,000lb forklift. You will be responsible for:

• The stocking of transformers in the storage yard in an efficient and orderly manner
• Loading all outbound shipments
• Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator to properly record shipment information
• Perform yard maintenance (cleanup of oil spills, dragging the yard, picking up trash, ect.)
• Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly inspections of the forklifts and mobile gantry crane

Basics:

• This position works 40-45 hours per week on a 5-day a week schedule. All day-time schedule (not night shift). The schedule is generally 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Some additional paid overtime is available during peak times.
• Employees are required to meet basic physical requirements for a heavy-equipment environment with 90-100% of the time on your feet. Occasional exposure to confined spaces. Must know how to use basic hand tools, follow written instructions, operate a computer or tablet, etc.

Pay: $64k-$86k (wages and bonus)

• Pay range = (wages + bonus)
