Job Description

IAA, an RB Global, Inc. company, is seeking a Loader Operator to join our team. Yard Attendants enjoy working in the elements, are detail‑oriented, quick on their feet, and passionate about cars. The role focuses on safety and efficient operations while learning new technology and staying at the forefront of the auction industry.

A Day In The Life

• Vehicle check‑in: record and file information on vehicles assigned to the facility.
• Detail vehicles to improve appearance and value at auction (training provided).
• Operate passenger vehicles safely, moving them around the facility and participating in drive‑through auctions.
• Recover keys, license plates, and other items from vehicles and store them appropriately.
• Assist visitors with guidance and direct them to appropriate persons.
• Receive on‑the‑job training in forklift and loader operation.

Qualifications

All candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent). A positive, upbeat demeanor is required to ensure positive customer interaction. Knowledge of cars or basic mechanical skills is a plus. Teamwork is essential.

Preferred experience: basic automotive repair skills or experience in rental, construction, equipment rental, or related fields.

Physical Demand Highlights

• Apply security, maintenance, and safety procedures to protect company and customer assets.
• Use personal protective equipment such as safety gloves and safety glasses.
• Recognize potentially unsafe situations and respond appropriately.
• Follow regulations related to hazardous material handling.
