Job summary

Capital Lumber Company in Healdsburg, CA is seeking a full-time yard associate to support lumber operations. You will perform yard cleanup, receive and move stock, package materials, and keep lanes clear for traffic while operating basic yard equipment.

The job requires 0–2 years of industry experience, knowledge of lumber products, and English proficiency. Work Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to end of shift, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of previous industry experience.
• Good knowledge of lumber products.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to the extent required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Yard clean up, product receiving, breakdown, product handling, and operating yard equipment such as saws or tug.
• Pick up all foreign material in yard to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collect recyclable materials and store as directed.
• Sweep the yard safely using a mechanical sweeper if available.
• Review supply inventory with Supervisor to maintain necessary level.
• Notify Supervisor of any maintenance or safety issues observed.
• Manually stack lumber products as instructed.
• Assist with inventory and/or cycle counts as directed.
• Operate a gas‑powered tug to move lumber products.
• Package materials and keep packaging area clean and organized.
• Assist in keeping lanes and other areas clean and clear for traffic.
• Operate saw to cut lengths from lumber as needed to fill an order when properly trained.
• Keep an inventory of stickers, corners, and wrap.
• Occasionally scan bar code.
• Perform other work‑related duties as assigned and remain flexible.

Location: Healdsburg, CA 95448. Salary: $20.00 per hour. Full‑time. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00AM – end of shift.

Work Environment

Work performed outdoors; exposure to fumes, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the warehouse can be loud.
