Job summary

Newell Brands is seeking a Seasonal Sales Associate for Yankee Candle in Somerville, MA. This part-time, onsite role focuses on delivering an exceptional guest experience, leveraging product knowledge and building customer relationships to drive sales.

You will support inventory, maintain store standards, and help achieve KPIs while working weekends and holidays in a fragrance-filled environment.

Qualifications

• High School completion or equivalent GED.
• Proven experience in a retail environment (1+ years preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Guest Experience: Create a welcoming store environment and deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Understand guest needs through product knowledge and emotional connections.
• Maximize sales by applying company selling strategies and building customer relationships.
• Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and KPIs.
• Maintain store appearance following visual standards, plan-o-grams, signage, and cleanliness.
• Team Experience: Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team aligned with Newell Brands values.
• Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
• Operational Experience: Support inventory management and control expenses.
• Incorporate safety and loss prevention measures into daily activities and company policies.
• Strive to exceed KPI goals through planning and execution.

• Assist in maintaining store appearance by following company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and store cleanliness.

Team Experience:

• Support inventory management activities and control expenses.

The MA base pay range for this position is from $15.68 to $19.60. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
