Job summary

Yahoo Ads Account Executive, Real Money Gaming (Finance)

We are seeking a highly motivated, consultative, and results-driven Account Executive to join our Betting & Predictions vertical. In this role, you will drive revenue growth by developing partnerships with sportsbooks, iGaming operators, daily fantasy and prediction market platforms, odds and affiliate businesses, and the agencies that represent them.

You will leverage Yahoo's premium media portfolio, including Yahoo Sports and Yahoo Fantasy, along with our first-party data and omnichannel advertising solutions, to help clients acquire and retain players, grow handle, and hit efficient cost-per-acquisition targets across a complex, state-by-state regulatory landscape.

As a trusted advisor, you will build relationships with acquisition, growth, and brand marketing decision-makers, identify opportunities for growth, and develop data-driven advertising solutions that deliver measurable outcomes across the bettor journey, from first awareness through first deposit and long-term retention.

Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation:

• Develop and execute a sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets within the Betting & Predictions vertical.


• Identify, prospect, and cultivate new business with operators, prediction market platforms, and betting-focused agencies while expanding existing partnerships.


• Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and managing opportunities throughout the sales cycle.


• Position the differentiated value of Yahoo Sports, Yahoo Fantasy, Yahoo Finance, and our broader audience and omnichannel offerings to a category where sports and market-engaged audiences are the entire ballgame.


• Navigate the seasonality of the category, planning against football kickoff, March Madness, major fight cards, election and event markets, and other peak acquisition windows.


• Partner with your manager to shape account strategy, identify growth opportunities, and expand share within your book.

Client Relationship Management:

• Establish and maintain trusted relationships with decision-makers across operators, platforms, and agency partners, including performance marketing, growth, CRM, and brand leads.


• Develop a deep understanding of each client's acquisition economics, player lifecycle, state and market footprint, and growth priorities.


• Serve as a strategic advisor by recommending customized, data-driven solutions that align with client goals, whether that is new-player acquisition, reactivation, cross-sell into casino, or brand building.


• Deliver compelling presentations and business reviews showcasing Yahoo's advertising capabilities, innovation, and performance.


• Provide exceptional client service that drives long-term partnerships, retention, and revenue growth.

Consultative Selling & Solution Development:

• Develop consultative sales approaches that help betting and prediction clients solve real business challenges through Yahoo's advertising ecosystem.


• Leverage Yahoo's first-party data, sports and finance content environments, and measurement solutions to build customized marketing programs.


• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Operations, and Measurement teams to deliver best-in-class client solutions.


• Stay informed on developments across sports betting, iGaming, prediction markets, fantasy sports, state-by-state legalization, and the broader digital advertising landscape to proactively surface opportunities.


• Translate performance insights and market intelligence into recommendations that improve campaign effectiveness and business outcomes.


• Use AI-powered tools to enhance productivity, strengthen client insights, streamline workflows, and improve overall sales effectiveness.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Partner closely with Client Services to ensure seamless onboarding, campaign execution, optimization, and client success.


• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Operations teams to deliver integrated solutions and negotiate commercial agreements.


• Provide ongoing market intelligence and customer feedback to influence product development, go-to-market strategies, and sales initiatives.


• Foster strong internal partnerships to continuously improve the customer experience and drive business growth.


• Embrace emerging AI technologies and best practices to drive smarter decision-making and accelerate execution.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with sportsbooks, iGaming or casino operators, daily fantasy, prediction markets, or betting-focused agencies is strongly preferred. Adjacent performance-marketing categories with similar acquisition economics will also be considered.


• Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including premium media, programmatic advertising, audience targeting, measurement, and omnichannel marketing.


• Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for betting and gaming advertising, or clear ability and interest to come up to speed quickly.


• Demonstrated ability to build senior-level relationships and develop long-term partnerships.


• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills, with a history of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.


• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data and performance insights into actionable client recommendations.


• Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.

The compensation for this position ranges from $163,125.00 - $340,000.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
