Job summary

Outpatient Services East, Ltd. in Birmingham, AL, seeks a PRN Radiologic Technologist to provide general care in the operating room, performing imaging with C-Arm and portable X-ray.

The successful candidate must graduate from an approved Radiologic Technology program, be ARRT registered or eligible, hold a current X-ray license, and BLS certification, with availability Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Must have X-ray degree and license.
• BLS required.
• X-ray experience or X-ray background preferred.
• Availability Monday-Friday; no weekends.
• PRN needed for heavy case days and vacation coverage.

Responsibilities

• Operate C-Arm and/or portable X-ray.
• Maintain safe environment for patient, staff and physicians during radiologic exams.
• Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures.
• Maintains a clean environment by daily cleaning of all work surfaces and equipment.
• Participates in cleaning all aprons and lead shields as needed.
• Participants in patient call backs between cases.

Located in the Professional Office Building #52 on the UAB St. Vincent's East Campus, the facility now provides 6 operating rooms and 9 procedure rooms and a Cysto room.

SUMMARY

Provides general care to patients in the facility by performing the following duties within the operating room.

• This is a PRN position. Scheduled as needed.
• Work schedule - Need availability to be Monday - Friday for PRN
• Operate C-Arm and/or portable x-ray.
• Maintain safe environment for patient, staff and physicians during radiologic exams.
• Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures.
• Maintains a clean environment by daily cleaning of all work surfaces and equipment.
• Participates in cleaning all aprons and lead shields as needed.
• Participates in patient call backs in between cases.
• Required: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography.

*Specialties include: Orthopedic, ENT, Pain, Weight loss, GYN, Urology and Ophthalmology and GI.
