XDA Developers in the United States is seeking a Software & Productivity Features Writer to cover the latest software updates, AI tools, and power-user workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This remote, contract position requires reliable, high-quality feature writing under tight deadlines, input into our CMS, and the ability to format images per guidelines while staying current with self-hosted environments and productivity tech.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in writing and editing feature-length content in the English language.
• Ability to think analytically; providing expert-level perspective on software, tools, and workflows.
• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with productivity tools, AI platforms, and/or self-hosted environments (NAS, Docker, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Ability to contribute reliable and consistent feature content under tight deadlines.
• Cover a broad range of software topics including AI tools, productivity apps, self-hosting, home labs, and PC software.
• Willing to input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines.

• Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.

XDA is seeking a Software & Productivity Features Writer to cover the latest and most relevant software updates, AI tools, and power-user workflows in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The XDA team is dedicated to staying ahead of the curve, continuously sourcing the latest in computing developments, sharing tips, tutorials, and videos, while reviewing devices, apps, and games.

Job Responsibilities

• Ability to contribute reliable and consistent feature content under tight deadlines.
• Cover a broad range of software topics including AI tools, productivity apps, self-hosting, home labs, and PC software.
• Willing to input work into our in-house CMS, as well as find and format images, according to our guidelines.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest software releases, AI advancements, and the self-hosting ecosystem.
• Coordinate with the editorial team for assignments and feedback.
