At Fast Pace Urgent Care, X-Ray Techs provide clinical and administrative support essential for effective patient care under the direct supervision of a Provider, Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. They provide outstanding patient service, maintaining a compassionate and welcoming atmosphere and respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment in addition to imaging. The X-Ray Tech will provide effective customer service for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge as well as communicating effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities of Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist position as detailed in the specific Nurse/Clinical Tech and Patient Care Specialist job description.
• The ability to deliver clinical and administrative support for the team and adhere to all policies and procedures of the company.
• Monitor and track x-ray orders so they can be completed and submitted in a timely manner.
• Assist patient with proper positioning during the exam to ensure diagnostic quality.
• Ensure activities are conducted in a manner consistent with department expectations and comply with regulations including HIPAA.
• Review exam images for initial read by provider.
• Send final images to Radiology group for over read.
• Label images correctly with laterality using lead markers.
• Ensure no artifacts are in the images and proper technique is used.
• Address minor maintenance issues with equipment and follow up as needed.
• Monitor and maintain equipment condition and cleanliness.
• Maintain and distribute pregnancy waiver forms where applicable.
• Triage patients, record vitals, clinical history, and perform blood draws, injections, medications, and other nursing tasks as applicable.
• Monitor radiation badges and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Complete mandatory compliance training.
• Welcome and support new employees.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues and patients.
• Perform physical, sensory, cognitive, and environmental functions as required.
• Follow company standards and core values.

Experience and License Requirements

• Active ARRT License (Registered Technologist)
• State License (Registered or Limited Scope)
• TB and IV Certification within 60 days of employment if applicable.

Education and Additional Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent. Various levels of experience and training depending on the specific role, with requirements for CPR certification and specific experience levels in radiologic technology.
