Job summary

Akumin is hiring an X-Ray Technologist at our Clearwater, FL facility. This PRN Radiology Technologist position requires ARRT (R) and state licensure, CPR, and a high school diploma or higher with preferred associate’s degree.

You will perform high quality X-ray imaging, ensure safety, and collaborate with radiologists. The role includes patient communication, potential training of new staff, and equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• HighSchool Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) certification and state license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license may be required.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic X-ray images with attention to radiation safety and proper documentation.
• Ensure patient safety including pre-screening and aseptic technique as applicable.
• Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists and team members.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot X-ray unit and peripheral equipment (PACS, computers, etc.).

We are currently hiring for an X-Ray Technologist at our Clearwater, FL facility. This will be a PRN position.

The Radiology Technologist is responsible high quality diagnostic digital x-ray images with special attention to radiation/safety regulations, including proper documentation and techniques. Responsible for ensuring effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. As applicable may assist in training new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images. Special attention to radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with patients and radioactive materials.

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique etc.

• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.

• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or PC’s.

• Trouble-shoots the X-ray unit and all peripheral equipment (including: computers, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• HighSchool Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable required.

• CPR certification required.

• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
