Job summary

Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, a nationally recognized leader with 20+ locations in Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeastern Indiana, is seeking an X-Ray Technologist in Ohio. The role involves preparing patients for x-ray procedures, positioning, shielding, and ensuring safety and quality in imaging.

The position requires completion of a Radiologic Technology program and active ARRT certification with Indiana license.

Qualifications

• Completion of course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Must maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) and an active Indiana State license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures, communicate the process to the patient and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Use and maintain a variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Evaluate and ensure equipment is in working order, reporting all malfunctions or concerns to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Process and enter radiological procedure information into electronic health record as soon as completed and provide additional reports and information as needed.
• Evaluate and maintain examination rooms to ensure rooms are clean and stocked, including ensuring necessary medical and radiological supplies are filled; sterilize and clean room and equipment as required by standard procedures.
• Places a high priority on and maintains strict confidentiality in all situations.
• Participates in professional development activities and maintains applicable professional affiliations and certifications as required.
• Attends and participates in required organizational meetings and committees as requested.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.
