Job summary

OrthoAtlanta in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our busy orthopedic imaging team on a PRN, on-site basis. You will perform musculoskeletal imaging, ensuring patient comfort, proper positioning, and image quality.

The role requires operating radiologic equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and documenting results in the EMR. Preferred ARRT certification and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Certification in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain.
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures clearly, address concerns, and ensure patients are positioned correctly for musculoskeletal imaging.
• Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic digital images of bones, joints, and soft tissues.
• Apply proper immobilization techniques and follow established safety protocols at all times.
• Perform routine checks on X-ray equipment and adhere to quality control standards.
• Monitor and restock X-ray supplies as needed to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Record procedures and imaging results accurately and efficiently within the electronic medical record system.
• Pays close attention to detail and values accuracy in diagnostic imaging.
• Communicates clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers.
• Thrives in a busy clinical setting and can manage multiple imaging requests efficiently.
• Works independently while also collaborating with a broader clinical team.

What You’ll Need

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (preferred) or eligible to obtain ARRT certification
• 1+ year of experience as an X-Ray Technician (preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
