Job summary

Envision Imaging in Texas is seeking a Full-Time X-ray technologist to join our team. The role performs diagnostic X-ray procedures, adjusts equipment, positions patients and assists physicians with contrast media and tomographic exams.

The position requires ARRT certification, radiography registry, and current state license, CPR, and at least two years’ X-ray experience. No travel; environment is outpatient radiology with standard PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Two plus years’ experience in X-Ray preferred.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately.
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment.
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation.
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provide instructions for the procedure to obtain the best image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed information and screens for implants, allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams and performs high quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient care before, during and after exam and notifies supervisor if condition changes.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and inspects equipment and reports any concerns or failures.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager on department concerns.
