Job summary

Iredell Health System in North Carolina is seeking a radiologic technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging. You will operate x-ray equipment, prepare the room, and develop films to assist physicians in diagnosing disease across all age groups.

The ideal candidate is ARRT registered or registry eligible, graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program, and holds current BLS certification. Flexibility to work shifts and strong patient communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered within one year of hire date.
• Registry must be current and updated before expiration date.
• Current BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Description

Administer x-rays to various anatomy of the body to produce clinically diagnostic images to assist the physician in the diagnosis of disease and injuries on new born, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric patients. Operates x-ray equipment, develops film and prepares room for radiological procedures.

Shift: M-Thur. 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Requirements

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must be a graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and must be registered within one year of hire date.
• Registry must be current and updated before the expiration date.
• Current BLS certification through The American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Ability to effectively deal with patients, families, hospital staff and physicians.
• Excellent computer, interpersonal and communication skills.

Essential Physical Requirements

Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include standing, bending, stooping and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
