The X-Ray Technologist Basic Machine Operator (BMO) provides high-quality diagnostic radiographic imaging in an outpatient orthopedic, primary care sports medicine, and chiropractic clinic setting. Performs basic radiologic procedures such as x-rays under the supervision of a Radiologist, Facility Manager, or Supervisor. The role requires technical competence, sound judgment, and adherence to established protocols for patients across various age groups. The technologist is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and practicing proper radiation protection, and maintaining accurate exam documentation. The position also includes responsibility for assigned equipment, workflow support, and routine department duties.
Essential Functions:Understanding of x-ray protocols, diagnostic imaging principles, radiation protection, and equipment safety hazards common to radiology.
