Job summary

Akumin is a leading provider of outpatient radiology and oncology services. We are hiring a X-Ray Technician for our Palm Beach Gardens facility in a full-time capacity.

You will produce high-quality diagnostic x-ray images while upholding radiation safety and patient care standards. The role requires ARRT(R) and state licensure if applicable, CPR certification, and at least one year of radiography experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license required, if applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• One year radiography/digital x-ray experience preferred.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic x-ray images.
• Adhere to radiation safety regulations and proper documentation.
• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening for contraindications.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.
• May train Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Troubleshoot x-ray unit and peripheral equipment.

We are currently hiring for a X-Ray Technician at our Pam Beach Gardens facility. This will be a Full Time position.

Position Responsibilities

• Produces high quality diagnostic x-ray images.
• Special attention to radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with patients and radioactive materials.
• Responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique etc.
• Effectively communicates with customers and radiologists.
• May train new Radiologic Technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.
• Trouble-shoots the X-ray unit and all peripheral equipment (including computers, PACS, etc.).

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• ARRT (R) and state license, if applicable required.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver's license (if applicable).
• Successful completion of a Radiology School.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.
• Minimum of one year radiography or digital x‑ray experience required (preferred).
• Local travel may be required.
• The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment.
