Job summary

Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Work Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Location(s): multiple locations in the Princeton area

Princeton Orthopaedic Associates (POA), a division of OrthoNJ, is a Community of Extraordinary Care professionals serving Central New Jersey since 1974. With 29 physicians, including 19 Orthopaedic surgeons, across 7 office locations, urgent care centers, and surgical center, POA operates as an outcome-focused orthopaedic practice that combines extraordinary talent, advanced techniques, and cutting-edge tools with compassionate service. Requirements

We are hiring a full-time X-Ray Technologist to join our clinical care team. In this role, you’ll work alongside our physicians to perform high-quality diagnostic imaging while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality X-ray exams using precise positioning, optimal technique, and strict radiation safety/ALARA protocols
  • Guide patients through procedures with clear instructions, compassionate care, and proper infection control
  • Maintain accurate digital medical records and collaborate directly with physicians on diagnostic findings
  • Operate, clean, and troubleshoot X-ray equipment while maintaining an organized, fully stocked imaging room
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of positioning, anatomy, medical terminology, and radiation safety protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to guide patients clearly and collaborate smoothly with physicians and staff
  • Strong patient-care ethics, attention to clinical detail, and clear team communication
  • Exceptional attention to detail in imaging technique, record-keeping, and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
Experience / Qualifications:
  • Active NJ Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License
  • ARRT (R) registered and in good standing
  • CPR / BLS certification
  • 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience (Orthopaedics or Urgent Care strongly preferred)
  • Familiarity with EMR / PACS systems and digital imaging workflows
Compensation & Benefits:

OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to disclose the compensation range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $27.00-$43.50 per hour. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, as well as benefits. Eligible full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, which may include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.
