Job summary

Upperline Health Inc is seeking an X-ray Technician to join our CA clinic team. You will prepare rooms, explain procedures, and perform radiographic imaging of extremities while ensuring patient safety and comfort.

We value an empathetic, professional demeanor and strong medical terminology knowledge. A CA license, healthcare clinic experience, and EMR familiarity (Athena preferred) are essential, with reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• CA limited X-ray license required; new licenses welcome.
• Previous X-ray tech experience preferred.
• Experience imaging extremities, lower-extremities ideal.
• Medical Assistant experience or recent graduate.
• Healthcare clinic experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• EMR experience preferred; Athena preferred.
• Effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic, compassionate, professional demeanor with every interaction.
• Reliable, stable work history with strong reliability.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and prepare exam rooms and equipment.
• Explain X-ray procedures to patients to ensure safety and comfort.
• Operate X-ray machine and obtain quality radiographic images.
• Review medical history and document in EMR accurately.
• Assist physicians with minor in-office procedures and vitals.

• Position patients correctly for radiological procedures and take radiographic images (all are lower extremity) as requested by the physician
• Operatex-ray machine according to established procedures
• Ensure quality x-rays are taken to prevent repeat procedures
• Review of medical history and medication reconciliation into electronic charts in the EMR system
• History of present illness intake
• Ensureaccuratecharting for the physician
• Assistthe physicians with minor in-office procedures
• Assistphysicians with patient care including obtaining vitals, bandaging and DME fitting
• Other related duties as deemed necessary by Upperline Health

X-ray Technician Qualifications

• A current Limited X-ray license in CA isrequired- Open to newly licensed applicants
• PreviousX-ray Tech experience is highly preferred
• Experience performing x-rays of extremities highly preferred - lower extremities is ideal
• Medical Assistant experience or recent graduate
• Healthcare clinic experience is a plus
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• Previousexperience working in an EMR is preferred, Athena is preferred
• Must be an effective communicator with excellent grammar and interpersonal skills
• Exceptional customer service orientation featuring an empathetic,compassionateand professional demeanor with each interaction
• Demonstrated experience as a reliable and dedicated co-worker with a stable work history
• High school graduaterequired;Bachelor’sdegree preferred
• Reliable transportation is required

Compensation: $25-$35/hr commensurate to compensation for similar positions in the region and based on prior training and experience
