Overview

Location: Berlin, New Hampshire

The Radiologic Technologist works under the guidance of doctors who specialize in imaging (radiologists) and under the supervision of the Director of Radiology. This person uses a Computerized Tomographic (CT) scanner to take images of different parts of the body, including the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and limbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Computerized Tomographic (CT) scanner to capture images of requested body parts (head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, limbs).
• Collaborate with radiologists and the Director of Radiology to ensure accurate imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a school for radiologic technology that is approved by the American Medical Association and be registered in at least radiography.
• Certification in computed tomography is preferred.
• Training or experience working with patients of all ages (from newborns to the elderly) and willingness to learn about other imaging methods.
• Ability to work well with patients, co-workers, doctors, and visitors; must be a strong team player and capable of working independently. Good communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency with computers; familiarity with the Meditech Health Information System is preferred and willingness to learn new software applications.

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

State License

• Must have a license to work in New Hampshire. A Compact License is allowed.
