The Indian Health Service is looking for an X-Ray Technologist to join our team in Anadarko, Oklahoma. This role requires operating diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining quality records. You will be responsible for both routine and complex radiographic examinations, with a focus on compassionate patient care.

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work through National Service programs and other organizations. Credit is given for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part-time experience.
GS-06: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-05 in operating fixed and portable radiographic equipment for routine and moderately complex diagnostic examinations, positioning patients, assisting with fluoroscopic and contrast procedures under supervision, and maintaining radiology records.
GS-07: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-06 in independently performing diagnostic radiographic examinations, evaluating image quality, providing patient care and radiation safety, operating and troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining radiology information systems.
Alternatively, one year (18 semester hours) of graduate education directly related to the position, or a combination of graduate education and experience (only graduate education is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement).
GS-08: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07 in independently performing a full range of routine and complex radiographic examinations, adapting imaging techniques, monitoring patient condition, identifying equipment malfunctions, and participating in quality assurance, infection control, and radiology operations activities.
All qualification requirements must be met by the respective cutoff day of rating to be eligible for consideration.
This position requires accreditation from accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Official transcripts will be required from all selectees prior to receiving an official offer. If using foreign education, a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with the transcript must be provided.
