Job summary

The Florida Back Institute in Boca Raton, FL is seeking an experienced X-ray Technician to join our orthopedic clinic. You will work directly with patients and physicians in a fast-paced medical office, performing diagnostic X-rays and assisting with procedures.

Job description

A busy orthopedic practice in Boca Raton is seekingan X-ray Technician to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, professional, and comfortable working directly with patients and physicians in a fast-paced medical office.

Schedule

• Must be flexible
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8 am -6 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-rays and obtain high-quality images.
• Operate the C-arm during procedures.
• Assist physicians with injections, examinations, and orthopedic procedures, including spine injections, PRP's andkyphoplasty.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Position and stabilize patients properly, and provide protective equipment as needed.
• Explain procedures and treatment instructions to patients professionally and reassuringly.
• Communicate with patients regarding the location and nature of their pain.
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms and ensure they are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Assist physicians and clinical staff during procedures and examinations.
• Assist with general clinical duties as needed.
• Greet and assist patients throughout their visit.
• Answer phones and assist with office duties when needed.
• Prepare patient charts and records for physicians.
• Follow all applicable radiation safety, infection control, and governmental regulations.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Active X-ray license/certification required.
• 2-3 years of medical office or clinical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Previous orthopedic or procedural experience preferred.
• C-arm experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
