Job summary

CareNow urgent care is seeking an X-Ray Technician - NCT to perform radiology procedures and in-house lab tests across busy clinics. You will maintain records, support front desk duties, and ensure smooth patient flow in collaboration with clinic leadership.

This role requires a Texas NCT license, BLS within 30 days, and the ability to obtainBreath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months. Applicants with 1+ year in clinical settings are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical patient setting experience preferred.
• NCT – Non-Certified Technician license in Texas.
• Able to obtain BLS within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.
• NCT license issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/Texas Department of State Health Services required.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely radiology procedures for evaluation by attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference labs.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Work closely with Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
• Ensure occupational client’s preference card is followed and procedures adhered to.
• Perform routine office functions including copying, faxing, scanning, mailing, sorting and filing patient materials.
• Cross-train for Front Desk duties: greet patients, check in/out, End of Day close, patient interactions, lobby checks, records release.
• May be required to work alternate shifts and float to other clinic locations; assist with general patient care when needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As an NCT, you will:

• Perform timely and quality radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
• Perform quality control checks/audits on radiologic equipment.
• Perform drug screens, urinalysis and other in-house lab tests including processing specimens for reference laboratories.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and x-rays sent out to other labs.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

• Is cross trained for Front Desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out on computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release
• May be required to work alternate shifts and may be required to float to other clinic locations. Assist with general patient care when needed.

You Should Have:

• 1+ year of experience in a clinical patient setting is beneficial
• NCT - A Non-Certified Technician license in Texas
• The ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
• NCT License issued by the Board of Medical Examiners/Texas Department of State Health Services is required
