Job summary

CareNow, a member of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking an X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant to support providers and nursing staff in a fast-paced clinic. You will perform vital signs, patient history, EKGs, labs, and front desk tasks while ensuring a clean, ready exam room and accurate records.

Minimum requirements include a High School diploma, LMRT license, and BLS within 30 days. Prior patient-care experience is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Healthcare experience in a patient care setting.
• Ability to perform vital signs, EKGs, labs, and specimen collection.
• LMRT license required in residency state and BLS certification within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, gather patient history, collect lab specimens and perform EKGs.
• Check patients in/out of the computer and assist front desk as needed.
• Greet patients and handle front desk tasks such as check-in/out and lobby operations.
• Maintain records and logs of in-house tests and labs.
• Assist with audits of equipment and supplies according to schedule.
• Collaborate with clinic staff and center leadership to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an X-ray Tech, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
