Job summary

HCA Healthcare's CareNow Avon­dale Haslet MSO is hiring an X‑Ray Technician - Medical Assistant to support providers and the nursing team. You will perform vital signs, histories, lab work and EKGs, and help with front desk tasks to ensure smooth patient flow.

Requirements include LMRT license, High School diploma, radiologic and medical assisting training, with BLS and federal screening certifications within specified timelines. Great benefits and sign‑on eligibility apply.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As an X-ray Tech, you will:

• Performs various clinical duties in support of providers and Nursing staff including but limited to taking vital signs, patient history, lab specimens and EKGs. May apply splints, dressings and bandages as directed. Prepares, maintains and cleans exam rooms.
• Will check patients in and out of the computer and may assist the Patient Representative in the performance of front desk duties.
• Will assist with front desk duties to include greeting patients, checking patients in/out of computer, End of Day close out procedures, patient interactions, lobby checks and records release.
• Maintains records and logs on activities including inhouse lab work, drug screens and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Performs equipment and supply audits as scheduled.
• Works closely with the Center Manager, Medical Staff, Front Desk Coordinator and all clinic staff to maintain smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.

You Should Have

• High School graduate as required by the state.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Services required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is preferred.
• Limited Medical Radiology Technologist (LMRT) license in state of residency
• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is beneficial
• Ability to obtain a BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion
