Job summary

HCA Healthcare CareNow is seeking an X-Ray Technician - Medical Assistant to perform imaging services, vital signs, EKGs, injections, and patient documentation. You will work with providers to ensure accurate charting in the EHR and maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements.

The role requires a Medical Assistant program completion (BOTP), state licenses (GMRT/LMRT/NCT), and completion of BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Breath and Drug screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect specimens, perform EKGs and IM injections.
• Conduct x-ray/imaging services per orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart auditing.
• Maintain records for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients informed of clinic progress.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a X-ray Tech, you will:

• Take vital signs, collecting lab specimens, performing EKG’s, and administering IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider’s orders and update patient charts accordingly.
• Collect patient history and document EHR appropriately.
• You may apply splints, dressings and bandages.
• Assist with check-in/check-out when needed including auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs on activities including in-house lab work, drug screens, and lab work sent out to other labs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

You should have

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• General Medical Radiology Technician (GMRT), Limited Medical Radiology Technician (LMRT), or Non-Registered Technician (NCT) license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.
