Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Tech to join our patient-centered team in Austin, TX. You will perform imaging studies, take vital signs, and document findings in the EHR, while supporting check-in/check-out and chart audits.

Requirements include 1+ year of clinical experience, a state license (GMRT/LMRT/NCT) or equivalent, X-ray certification, and current BLS. AAMA certification is preferred; extensive benefits and a supportive work environment are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in patient care settings.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) or approved program.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform all x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.

Skills

Phlebotomy not required

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent
